Our latest project has been to develop an operational program to dynamically test, calibrate, and confirm the safe operation of Tempering Valves and Thermostatic Mixing Valves during the manufacturing process. ICON developed a sophisticated airborne control system including real-time servo control, very high precision logging of multiple sensors, RS232 auxilliary control, and specialised user interface. Technical expertise and practical problem solving ensured the rapid development of a high performing control solution. ICON’s knowledge of the extensive range of NI hardware solutions enabled cost-effective configuration of a hardware platform with capacity for future extensibility. We look forward to working with ICON on future developments.
The team at ICON delivered on time and on budget a modular system capable of competing with industry leaders in our field of work. Their in-project coordination with external parties and understanding of the technical challenges at hand enabled us to produce a working system in a record time (4 months). This system was used in remote and very inhospitable conditions – some of the harshest on the planet – and worked for two months (the duration of the remote project) without missing a beat. The system was designed in an intelligent and modular manner, making it potentially the best-suited system we could have obtained in Australia or overseas. Highly recommended.
