When EagleView Australia (formerly Spookfish) reached out to ICON Technologies for assistance with their venture into Geospatial Image capture, the ICON Technologies team were delighted by the prospect of being involved in such a challenging project.
While Geospatial imagery is commonly used in a wide range of industries, including government, construction, energy and resource management and conservation, traditionally, many companies using geospatial imagery have had to compromise. Images are often low quality, or, if they are of high quality, the whole process is cost-prohibitive.
EagleView Australia set out to create a camera that was cost-effective and resulted in high-resolution imagery. ICON Technologies, knowing the National Instruments platform would be a good fit, worked on integrating National Instruments’ RIO technology to deliver a highly accurate and highly precise camera control system.
ICON Technologies has worked with the EagleView Australia team throughout the whole project – from proof of concept, to prototype to deployed product. This has not only helped the project stay on time and budget but has lead to a rewarding long term partnership between ICON Technologies and EagleView Australia.
