- This 1-day course will get serious LabVIEW users up and running with a powerful new coding paradigm that has received strong support from the mainstream LabVIEW community in recent years. GOOP, or "G Object Oriented Programming", adds object oriented structured programming techniques to LabVIEW's dataflow programming model, resulting in a uniquely powerful and productive high-end development environment.
- The classic benefits of an object oriented approach are formally structured code that is easier to debug and easier to maintain.
- An equally important benefit for LabVIEW programmers is that GOOP moves LabVIEW comfortably into the corporate IT world, where formal design methodologies and OOP-based languages like C++ are often the norm.
- Importantly, although National Instruments fully endorses the GOOP approach to LabVIEW programming, GOOP techniques are not referenced in any of the standard LabVIEW documentation or training courses. So you won't find an opportunity to get hands-on experience with this fundamental new approach anywhere else.
- GOOP techniques are not for every LabVIEW programmer or application, but if you or your company has a serious long-term commitment to the LabVIEW environment then this is something you need to know.
