ICON Technologies has worked with a number of clients to develop or prototype new measurement and automation products. The Real-Time Wear Monitor developed in partnership with Davies Wear Plate Systems Australia, and the Teleremote Assist system developed with Remote Control Technologies, are good examples of joint product development projects between ICON Technologies and other clients.

National Instruments computer-based Data Acquisition (DAQ) products, Compact Fieldpoint distributed I/O, and Compact RIO re-configurable hardware I/O, are all platforms that are well suited to implementing OEM products with projected sales in the order of tens, to hundreds or low thousands, of units. National Instruments has a world-wide network of offices that can provide hardware support. Their LabVIEW software development environment is well suited to tight development timelines, and integrates well with other complementary technologies.

These same hardware and software platforms are also ideal tools to prototype products that may ultimately be custom designed and manufactured in quantities of thousands or more. Their ability to implement any number of mixed I/O types at speeds from samples/sec to Msamples/sec, combined with the flexibility to implement almost any advanced algorithms in software, make them ideal tools to simulate a wide range of prototype products. Test, debug, and verify the operation of your product before you commit a single $ to custom design and manufacture.
